The Business & Education Partnership will be offering its ZOOM Arts & Culture Career Day for grade 11 and 12 students on October 23rd at the Tannery.
This year we are excited to have Amanda Kind keynote the event.
Amanda is a currently the Visual Design Supervisor for Drayton Entertainment, Vocal Director for KW Glee and a sought after voice teacher and adjudicator in Ontario.
She specializes in marketing for the performing arts sector including web design, graphic design, social media, branding, advertising and more.
As a performer, Amanda has appeared in numerous plays, musicals, operas and concerts across North America and beyond. In addition to stage work, Amanda released a solo pop album and frequently coaches other up and coming artists. Her unique experience in music and theatre has helped her build a diverse career in the arts. Amanda is the winner of a KW Arts Award for Performing Arts (2007), Rogers Television Woman of the Year Award in Arts & Culture (2008), and was named one of Waterloo Region’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2011.
Amanda will provide students with insight on arts administration and marketing. She will also talk about the various performance and technical careers in theater and the music industry.
