The United Way of Kitchener Waterloo & Area has teamed up with FunRaisers, a Kitchener based startup to reinvent fundraising. United Way KW is piloting on FunRaisers platform, where businesses are offering products or services at a discount and pledge a donation at the same time. They aptly call such offer a "FunRaiser". When people purchase the FunRaiser offers through United Way mobile app or FunRaisers website, the business donates the pledged amount to United Way KW from the proceeds.
