Athena Software is pleased to announce that Nurse-Family Partnership ®, a Denver-based nonprofit that serves first-time moms and their children living in poverty, has selected Penelope as their case management software solution.
Penelope is a comprehensive client management software application made by Waterloo, Ont. company Athena Software.
Designed specifically for health and human services agencies, Penelope is trusted by governments, universities, nonprofits, and social service providers around the world.
Nurse-Family Partnership ® changes the future for the most vulnerable babies born into poverty by giving a first-time mom trusted support from her own expert nurse throughout the first 1,000 days, from pregnancy until her child’s second birthday.
The program currently serves over 33,500 moms in 42 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and six Tribal communities.
Forty years of scientifically-proven outcomes for both mom and baby show that Nurse-Family Partnership improves birth outcomes, boosts child health and development, improves maternal health, reduces child abuse and neglect, decreases juvenile crime, and increases economic self-sufficiency, among other outcomes.
“Athena Software is thrilled to team up with Nurse-Family Partnership to help with their mission of positively transforming the lives of vulnerable children and families,” said Geoff Bellew, CEO of Athena Software.
“Penelope’s flexible data tracking and reporting options, configurable smart forms tool, and ability to be used on many mobile devices, make it an ideal solution for the needs of Nurse-Family Partnership,” he added.
“We are excited to begin a partnership with Athena Software to provide our Nurse-Family Partnership programs with a more efficient data collection system to track outcomes for moms and babies,” said Frank Daidone, interim CEO of Nurse-Family Partnership.
“Data collection is essential to measuring the difference Nurse-Family Partnership is making with each family in poverty."
