Waterloo, ON – The Jeff Eller Group and Scout Public Affairs are proud to formally announce their agency affiliation. This affiliation will allow the firms to access in-market public affairs and crisis communications expertise for clients with interests in both Canada and the United States.
The Jeff Eller Group was founded in 2014, by seasoned crisis communications strategist Jeff Eller. His career includes work in the White House in the Clinton era to some of the most well publicized crises in modern business, such as GM’s ignition switch issue and the Firestone tire recall.
Scout Public Affairs Inc. is a Canadian-based agency offering powerful experience, smart strategies, and large connected networks for North American clients ready to take their business to the next level. Scout was founded in 2015 by business partners Crystal Roberts and Faye Roberts, to provide clients with expert public relations, media and government relations advice including media training and crisis management.
Eller has strong US political and government connections, a crucial component to managing a crisis, but didn’t have the same depth of knowledge of Canadian Government. Eller, who had worked with Faye Roberts when she was GM Canada’s Communications Director, took the opportunity when Faye and business partner Crystal Roberts started Scout Public Affairs earlier this year to pursue a trusted Canadian affiliate.

Scout and The Jeff Eller Group have also partnered on a crisis communication workshop and brought Jeff to The Region of Waterloo from Texas to give the keynote address at a Communitech breakfast to share insights into how businesses can prepare themselves for a crisis. The breakfast is on December 2 at Communitech with registration starting at 7:30 a.m.
