Growing up, the Canada Day long weekend meant driving up to the cottage and singing O Canada on the dock to loons. These days, it means a chance to catch up on laundry and cleaning out my email inbox.
Even though I’ll be hanging out around my house this weekend, I plan on fitting in some of the incredible events in this region.
So, if you aren’t heading out of town either, I’ve got you covered.
Have a safe and happy long weekend, wherever you are. See you next Wednesday.
I see and hear that…. The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery is hosting #FolkArtandBeer this Thursday, June 26. Craft beer tasting and phenomenal art - need I say more? … The air will be buzzing this weekend with the Waterloo Air Show… From stunt planes to CF-18s and Snowbirds, you’ll be delighted by the technical skill and power of these performing pilots… Ladies Learning Code is holding an Intro to HTML5 and Responsive Design workshop on June 28…. And finally, Canada Day may be midweek this year, but celebrations won’t be dampened. uWaterloo will host its 30th annual Canada Day celebrations at Columbia Lake… and in Downtown Kitchener, Canada’s own Sloan will take the stage before fireworks…
