Waterloo Region, Oct. 1, 2014 — Communitech and CityAge are delighted to announce that Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne will be giving a keynote speech at The Innovation City conference on Oct. 9 & 10.
The Innovation City, which will be held at the CIGI Auditorium, is focusing on the partnerships, ideas and infrastructure essential to building a regional technology supercluster that can help drive the provincial and national economies.
“Communitech is delighted to host Premier Wynne at this CityAge event,” said Iain Klugman, president and CEO of Communitech “Our region is one of North America’s centres of innovation and the Premier’s continued leadership will help us attract and retain the talent necessary to build this important part of Canada’s economy.”
Private, public and research leaders from across North America will discuss investment, infrastructure and urban design models that can help to attract talent and capital. A key focus will be on the linkages between Waterloo Region and Toronto, and the benefits and challenges involved in creating a regional supercluster.
