Athena Software is proud to announce that Military Family Services, a division of Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), has selected Penelope as its new case management software solution.
Athena Software is a rapidly growing software company based in Waterloo, Ont., whose Penelope case management software solution is used by hundreds of not-for-profit and social service organizations around the world. CFMWS is the service provider to over 1 million Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families, whether serving or retired, to help deal with the unique challenges of military life.
The services provided by CFMWS are tailored to help military members, veterans and their families deal with the unique lifestyle characteristics of military life, such as frequent relocations and deployments. These services provide social, financial, fitness, recreation, and retail support to Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families at bases, wings, and units in Canada and around the world.
"It is a proud honour for Athena Software to be selected by Military Family Services as the case management software provider of choice, a vital source of programming support for our brave military members, veterans and their families," said Geoff Bellew, CEO of Athena Software. "It is also a testament to our reliable cloud-based software and the security of our data centres, as well as our ongoing commitment to ISO 27001 certification, to have earned the trust of an organization as concerned with security and privacy as Military Family Services."
Military family services are provided on behalf of the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces, and are delivered via Military Family Resource Centres (MFRCs). These non-profit organizations, some of which already use Penelope case management software, provide programs and services to support military families.
Services available to military families include: mental health support, employment resources, deployment support, children's programming, community integration and support for families with special needs.
At CFMWS, Penelope will specifically be used as a client management system for the Veteran Family Program and the Family Information Line, and will be rolled out across all 32 MFRCs in Canada.
