Anritsu Electronics, Ltd. announced at the Canadian Wireless Trade Show that it has entered into a partnership with Swift Labs, Inc. to support Swift Labs’ intent to provide development testing, pre-compliance and managed regulatory and compliance services to mobile and wireless companies in Canada. To officially launch the partnership, Swift Labs was part of Anritsu’s Canadian Wireless booth (#206) throughout the show, Oct. 29-30 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
“Compliance for the wireless industry is an expensive business. The partnership pairs cutting-edge Anritsu test solutions with Swift Labs’ expertise in delivering services to startup, small and mid-sized wireless and mobile companies in Canada for the first time. Our mutual goal is to grow the talent in Canada’s Technology Triangle and continue to attract more technology companies to the ecosystem,” said Tony Paredes, Anritsu Canada’s General Manager.
The Canadian Wireless Trade Show will also serve as the first public forum for Anritsu’s new revolutionary mobile interference hunting system that simplifies detection of numerous interferers over a wide range of power levels in multiple RF environments. The comprehensive, cost-efficient solution consists of the advanced mobile InterferenceHunter™ software featuring patent-pending algorithms, an off-the-shelf magnet-mount omnidirectional antenna, along with an Anritsu handheld spectrum analyzer and Windows-operating tablet/laptop. Anritsu will also exhibit the MD8475A signaling tester, one of the solutions to be used by Swift Labs to validate the performance of products used in emerging wireless and mobile applications.
Swift Labs is headquartered in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, the heart of the Canadian Technology Triangle. Founded by experienced professionals who have held senior management positions with global wireless companies, Swift Labs will leverage the industry leading performance of the MD8475A, as well as the MT8820C radio communications analyzer, MT8860C test set, and MT8852B test set. Swift Labs will use these instruments to aid clients in the entire compliance process or as a portion of their scalable and customized services to validate products using Cellular, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC technologies.
“The Anritsu test solutions enable us to work with our customers across different testing needs and guide them through a formal certification with an accredited lab. Prior to our opening, most of these Canadian technology companies did not have access to these services locally to support them during their product development cycle. Swift Labs solves this problem for companies trying to compete in the wireless product space,” said Lara Swift, Co-Founder and COO, Swift Labs.
Field and Maintenance Solutions
The mobile interference hunting system is one of the Anritsu field solutions for Canadian wireless carriers, tower companies and base station installers who deploy, install, and maintain networks. Among the other solutions on display will be the PIM Master™ MW82119B,which uses patented Distance-to-PIM™ technology to help users locate sources of passive intermodulation both inside the antenna and beyond the tower.
Anritsu will also exhibit the Site Master™ S362E, a compact analyzer that combines a cable and antenna analyzer and spectrum analyzer. Providing coverage up to 6 GHz, the S362E delivers ease-of-use, rich functionality, and best-in-class price/performance for efficient maintenance of legacy and 4G networks. Anritsu will also display the Network Master™ MT9090 with µOTDR module, which is well suited for testing fiber optic backhaul.
