Brad Feld Day 2013

After years of friendly cajoling, he finally paid a visit to Waterloo Region – and apparently we did not disappoint.

‘He’ is Brad Feld, one of the most respected venture capitalists in the technology world, and a leading voice on how to build successful startup communities. On Feb. 28, Feld spent a whirlwind seven hours in and around the Communitech Hub, which he declared “awesome” in an interview even before the first of those seven hours was up (see video).

Despite a rough journey home to the U.S., Feld was clearly impressed with what he encountered here, according to his Facebook page: “I had a great time recently in Waterloo,” he wrote. “I’ll definitely be back – some amazing things are going on there.”
