FAQ

Communitech worked with our community of partners, such as the Canadian Venture Capital Association, NRC-IRAP, TMX, TD, EY, as well as members of Canada’s Tech Network and founders from coast-to-coast, to establish data on as many Canadian tech organizations as possible. We confirmed the company's growth with an organization executive(s) to ensure they fall into one of the four following categories:

  • $20M-$39M in annual revenue with 60% or more growth rate, OR
  • $40M-$79M in annual revenue with 40% or more growth rate, OR
  • $80M-$99M in annual revenue with at least 20% growth rate, OR
  • +$100M in annual revenue with at least 15% growth rate

If you feel there’s a company we’ve overlooked for Team True North that meets the criteria, let us know! Email investor@communitech.ca to confirm that your company’s performance metrics match our key criteria, and we’ll add you to the roster.

Updates to the Team True North roster will be made annually and will include companies that work with innovation hubs across Canada’s Tech Network. We aim to update the roster annually in the fall or winter months.

Tech companies that are a part of Team True North are either:

      • a Canadian-controlled private corporation (CCPC), OR
      • have a world or corporate headquarters in Canada, OR
      • have both management and research and development (R+D) teams located in Canada
